Howard four flame chandelier with short arms and bone china shades The four-flame chandelier Howard offers a very noble look: The frame is made of Gunmetal, a gunmetal with the main part bronze as well as tin and zinc, which is very trendy. The frame conveys a slightly industrial feel that contrasts deliberately with the fine bone china shades. Bone china is the finest and noblest porcelain. It is composed of bone ash, feldspar and kaolin, is slightly translucent and has a very high edge impact resistance. The light from the lamps used in Howard is emitted directly downwards and also penetrates lightly into the room all around through the porcelain. Howard was designed by Space Copenhagen. Space Copenhagen is a design studio founded in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou that creates furniture, lighting and objects, as well as art installations. Their designs often reflect contrasts, such as classic and modern, industrial and organic, or sculptural and minimal. The projects of the globally active design studio include the furnishing of eleven Howard Hotels in New York and the Geranie and Noma restaurants in Copenhagen.
