Hand-pleated plasticlampshade in a spherical shape: 101 designer hanging light The white plastic lampshade has been pleated by hand – like all lampshades from this manufacturer – which makes it a unique product that you should treat with appropriate care so that you can keep on enjoying it for a long time. The lampshades are hand-pleated in Denmark, specifically in Odense on the island of Funen, since there is not yet any machine that is capable of handling this complicated pleating technique. In addition to its beautiful appearance, the pleated lampshade also has one other advantage. The white plastic is perfect for an optimal, i.e. soft and glare-free, light distribution. Traditional craftsmanship and timeless design are the Copenhagen-based manufacturer’s forte. Models from when the company was founded in the 1940s are still manufactured in the same way today, and still enjoy great popularity amongst the customers.
