LE KLINT Caché – designer floor lamp, black

Handmade in Denmark: Caché floor lamp from Le Klint The extraordinary thing about the Caché floor lamp only becomes evident to most viewers at the second glance, namely the inner lampshade, which is almost completely hidden by the outer metal lampshade. “Hidden” is also the word which has given the lamp its name. The French word “caché” means “hidden” in English. The special thing about this inner lampshade, which acts as a diffuser and creates a very special light, is its delicate pleated design. The white plastic film is pleated and shaped by hand. These special pleated lampshades provide the basis of the success of the Danish lighting manufacturer Le Klint, which has been producing pleated lampshades since it was founded in 1943 – and which still makes them by hand. The characteristic pleating technique has remained unchanged to this day. Even state-of-the-art machines cannot replace the dexterity of skilled and trained craftsmen. Energy efficiency class:A++
