LE KLINT Snowdrop M – paper hanging lamp, black

Snowdrop designer pendant lamp with a hand-pleated black lampshade Hand-pleated lampshades, which stand out in their uniqueness and guarantee an atmospheric light, are characteristic of the lights made by this Danish lighting manufacturer. The company’s history began in the early 1940s when the architect P. V. Jensen-Klint pleated a lampshade for a paraffin lamp. The first store was opened in Copenhagen in 1943, the same year as the company was founded by Tage Klint, and can still be found in the same location today. The traditional pleating technique used to produce the lampshades is still performed by hand because it has not yet been possible to create a machine that can achieve the same special quality and look when pleating the lampshades. Pleaters must complete a three-year apprenticeship before they master the various lampshade designs that are produced using the traditional technique in Odense, on the island of Funen in Denmark. This hand-pleating technique makes every light unique. Energy efficiency class:A++
