The MILLE BOLLE floor lamp imitates soap bubbles and invites you to dream In this floor lamp, numerous disc-shaped sections made of transparent plastic are reminiscent of the popular childhood activity of blowing bubbles, which brings lots of joy and a smile to anyone’s face. The attractive and particularly authentic thing about the light is that the discs don’t just appear clear, but shimmer in many different colours thanks to their iridescent surface, just like soap bubbles. The particular highlight: even the ring-shaped metal element fits perfectly into the overall design and the intention behind it, as it is modelled on the ring-shaped wand that people blow through to send the bubbles on their way. Visionary designer lights made in Italy – Slamp The Italian designer lighting company Slamp, which is based in Rome, was founded in the early 1990s by Roberto Ziliani. Ziliani was already working as a designer when he finally discovered his passion for the possibilities of light. The highest standards in terms of materials, workmanship and quality At Slamp, special emphasis is placed on developing innovative materials. In addition to natural and traditional materials such as leather, copper, crystal or stainless steel, Slamp therefore works with exclusive and specially patented materials such as Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex®. Unique lighting effects can be achieved with these materials. For example, Lentiflex® resembles water that changes colour depending on the viewing angle. These materials, which were developed in-house at Slamp, and the resulting lights clearly express Slamp’s strengths.
